why did you start this site?
While an undergrad (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth), I wrote one of the very early OCLC clients for our college library. It was my introduction to Vannevar Bush, digital libraries and pattern recognition. I have been hooked ever since.
I have been on the net, then the web, straight through. I am consolidating what has felt like an ever more scattered presence into one presence, here at integrating design. At the same time, I am working on making integrating design as widely accessible as possible from the start in keeping with best practices in deliberation and collaboration.
Oh, and did I mention that I plan to blog, how-to, patch and otherwise chronicle each step?
why is it called integrating design?
